Have you ever played mahjong in person and missed the simplicity of playing online and letting the client handle the scoring? That was the problem I aimed to solve with this app.
Mahjong Scoring Compass is a simple app that keeps track of the game state for you. It keeps track of the following:
When the round is over, all you have to do is enter the round end type, who won and lost, and how many han and fu the hand was. Once that is submitted, the score changes will be calculated and displayed automatically. The game state can also be edited manually. This is useful for correcting mistakes or for accommodating special house rules that the app does not support.
The app will also detect when the game is over and display a game over screen, with the player(s) with the highest score highlighted in green.
The app currently has many togglable options, and I designed it to be easy to add new options in the future.
The app can be accessed on any device with a web browser, and it is also available as an Android app directly as an APK, as well as on the F-Droid store.
